Five-year-old shot and killed in Cape Town
The community of Lavender Hill is in shock after a five-year-old boy was shot and killed on Saturday afternoon.
The incident occurred in the Southern suburbs of Cape Town near Drury Court.
A 22-year-old was also shot and injured in the same incident and is receiving treatment in hospital
The circumstance surrounding the shooting are being investigated by the police’s anti-gang unit according to Western Cape police spokesperson, Novela Potelwa, who says police have been deployed to monitor the area.
According to Potelwa, police are pursuing specific leads related to the incident.
