Fix Eskom and fix it now, says Lesufi

Gauteng Premier, Panyaza Lesufi has lashed out at power utility Eskom for the rolling power cuts it has implemented across the country.
Lesufi was speaking at the Soshanguve East Secondary School in Tshwane on Friday, where the province honoured the province’s top matriculants.
He says that the province engaged Eskom on Thursday on how it can put an end to the rolling power cuts.
“And we said to Eskom in no uncertain terms to say fix this problem and fix it now. We can’t take it any longer.

“Our plea is very simple, we said to Eskom yesterday to give us the power plants that are bringing electricity to Gauteng and tell us the problems of that power plant in terms of maintenance, in terms of the skills that are needed and in terms of expansion function. And Eskom said it was willing to go on the table with us and they’re going to give us those figures,” he said.
Lesufi’s comments come as President Cyril Ramaphosa convened a special President's Coordinating Council (PCC) on Friday to find a solution to the country’s electricity crisis.
