Updated | By ANA
Sindisiwe Manqele, who was found guilty of murdering her rap star boyfriend Nkululeko “Flabba” Habedi and sentenced to 12 years in jail, will be back in court on Tuesday to seek leave to appeal.
Manqele will be back in the High Court sitting at the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday
Manqele fatally stabbed Habedi during a fight after a boozy night out. The rap star of Skwatta Kamp fame died at his home in Alexander in March 2015. The deceased’s lover, Manqele, who was sentenced to 12 years imprisonment in March, is out on bail of R15,000.
This was in addition to the R10,000 bail initially granted to her in December.
The 26-year-old Kempton Park woman’s lawyers will try to persuade Judge Solly Sithole to allow her leave to appeal her conviction and sentence.
