FlySafair has warned airline passengers that the wearing of masks when flying are not optional and that the rules won’t be bent or broken for anyone.

This after a man was removed from one of the airline's flights on Saturday for refusing to wear a mask.
The flight was preparing to take off from Johannesburg burg to Durban’s King Shaka Airport at the time of the incident .
The aircraft had been taxing on the runway when it was to turn back to the terminal.
FlySafair spokesperson Kirby Gordon says the passenger was handed over to the police.
"At the point that he was in the aircraft, he refused to wear anything and he was sitting down there. He did have a mask with him as I understand it, but he refused to wear it.
“It is a safety violation for a person not to wear a mask in the aircraft.”
