Foetus found in Alberton drain
A foetus was found in a drain in Voortrekker Road in Alberton on Tuesday morning.
Paramedics were called to the scene after maintenance workers discovered the body.
"The foetus was wrapped in a bag on the side of the road. Unfortunately, nothing could be done by paramedics," says ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring.

Meiring says no other information is known as yet.
Police were on the scene for further investigations.
