Former ANC SG Ace Magashule expelled from party

Ace Magashule has been expelled from the African National Congress after he failed to make representations to avoid this.
The ANC’s disciplinary committee had given Magashule seven days to make representations on why he should not be expelled from the party after the committee found him guilty of bringing the ANC into disrepute.
The charges emanated from the former secretary-general’s attempt to suspend party president Cyril Ramaphosa ahead of the ANC’s national conference in December.
Magashule was suspended after he failed to apologise to Ramaphosa after he had been given clear orders to do so.
The committee confirmed Magashule’s expulsion in a statement on Monday afternoon.
