Former ANCYL SG Sindiso Magaqa dies
Former African National Congress Youth League (ANCYL)
secretary general Sindiso Magaqa has passed away.
The ANC confirmed the news in a statement on Monday night.
Magaqa succumbed to the injuries he sustained following a shooting in the Harry Gwala district of KwaZulu-Natal in July.
He and two other councillors had been shot during an ambush.
The shootings come amid a wave of political violence in the coastal province.
The ANC has expressed its condolences at the passing of Magaqa.
In a statement, ANC spokesperson Zizi Kodwa says comrade Magaqa's life was testament to the abiding belief he had that the cause of the people shall triumph.
