Four arrested in KZN for alleged car theft

Major Thulani Zwane said police patrolling in the Inanda area received information about a stolen Nissan 1400 bakkie on Thursday.
They spotted it and tried to stop it.
"The driver of the said vehicle sped off when he noticed that the police were trying to stop him," he said.
"The police chased the suspected vehicle up to Tongaat where it was pulled over and searched."
The two occupants were arrested. They were charged with possession of suspected stolen property.
While at the scene police stopped another vehicle they suspected was escorting the bakkie and two more men were arrested.
"They were linked to a stolen vehicle in the Berea area."
All four were expected to appear in the Verulam Magistrate's Court on Monday."
