Brothers Louis and Heinrich Coetzee, as well as Ian Manyika and Alex de Kooker appeared in the court on Thursday, facing two counts of fraud each.
They are accused of taking over R100,000 from Dustan Blom's bank account.
According to the report, First National Bank had also opened a case relating to the matter.
Investigators were working to find out whether the four were involved in Blom's killing.
Three of the men would apply for bail at their next court appearance on Tuesday.
Two others, Maruschka Robinson, believed to be a former stripper, and her boyfriend Jean-Pierre Malan have been charged with Blom's murder in the same court.
