Four injured when taxi and a truck collided in Newcastle
Updated | By ANA
Four people were injured on Thursday morning when a taxi and truck collided in KwaZulu-Natal, said paramedics.

ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring said the accident occurred on the N11 near the Albert Wessels Drive in Newcastle.
“Paramedics along with Metro services, arrived on [the] scene and found both the taxi and truck parked in the one lane of the road,” he said.
Meiring said the driver’s side door of the taxi had been completely ripped open in the collision.
“On assessment, paramedics found that four of the five occupants from the taxi had sustained only minor injuries.”
Paramedics treated the patients for their injuries and transported them to Madadeni Hospital for further treatment.
It is believed that the two vehicles collided after the taxi had apparently attempted a u-turn in the road, Meiring said.
Local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
