Four killed in attempted hijacking

Four people, including a police constable stationed at Nigel Police Station in the Eastrand, died when the car they were traveling in overturned between Tafelkop and Motetema in Limpopo.
According to police, the accident happened in the early hours of this morning.
"According to information, the occupants of the vehicle attempted to hijack another vehicle and in the process lost control and overturned, killing four males and seriously injuring two women," police spokesperson Motlafela Mojapelo told Jacaranda FM News.
He says preliminary investigations indicate that the minibus belonged to the police constable.

The other vehicle was not involved in the accident but the driver reported the alleged hijacking attempt to the Motetema police station.
Police are investigating a case of attempted hijacking.
