Four killed in head-on collision in Eastern Cape

Four people have been killed and five others injured in a horrific head-on collision on the N2 between Ngqushwa and Makhanda in the Eastern Cape.
Spokesperson for Provincial Traffic Unathi Binqose says the crash occurred on Thursday afternoon.
He says all the occupants of the one car, two women, and a three-year-old child died, while a passenger from the bakkie died on the scene.
The bakkie was travelling from Peddie and all six occupants are believed to be from a local farm.
Binqose says it's alleged that reckless and negligent driving was the main contributing factor to the accident as the road is still under construction and is regulated by a stop and go.
A case of culpable homicide is under investigation.
The names of the deceased will be released once the next of kin have been informed.
