Four nabbed in connection with Mandla Hlatshwayo murder
National Police Commissioner Khomotso Phahlane has confirmed that four suspects have been arrested in connection with the murder of radio personality and actor Mandla Hlatshwayo.
"As the SAPS we are grateful for the quick arrests that have been effected. Four suspects have been arrested. They were found in possession of a firearm and mandrax tablets," Phahlane told Jacaranda FM News.
Phahlane says the suspects were arrested in the vicinity of Soweto.
"Further investigation is being conducted but we are happy that there is a breakthrough.
"It is still early days and thus we will be able to reveal the motive behind the killing in due course."
He has also conveyed his condolences to Hlatshwayo's family.
"I haven't been in contact with the family myself. We know that it is trying times."
The suspects will appear in court soon.
