Four suspected illegal miners shot dead in Polokwane
Updated | By Cliff Shiko
Four people were shot and killed near an abandoned mine outside Polokwane on Monday.

Their bodies were found at different spots in the bushes on the Roodepoort farm.
The men are suspected to be illegal miners, also known as 'zama zamas', operating in the area.
Limpopo police spokesperson Motlafela Mojapelo says no arrests have been made.
"On arrival on the said farm, Police found the body of a man lying next to the pathway. He was later identified as a 37-year-old man from Lesotho. Three more bodies were found in the area next to the illegal mining site.
"It appears they were all shot at whilst fleeing from the attackers. The three are also Lesotho nationals."
"A group of illegal miners from Lesotho and Zimbabwe was sitting around the fire next to an illegal mining shaft in the area on Sunday morning when a group of armed suspects accosted them and robbed them of their cell phones and money."
