Fraud accused appear on Friday

Two men accused of defrauding the labour department's compensation fund of R1.2 million are due to appear in the Pretoria Specialised Commercial Crime Court on Friday.
Kenneth Mahuluhulu, 32, and Khathutshelo Nethengwe, 35, are out on bail of R5000 each, department spokesman Page Boikanyo said on Thursday.
They allegedly submitted and processed fraudulent claims between 2006 and 2009. Mahuluhulu was arrested at the University of SA, where he works, last August.
Nethengwe, a former department employee, handed himself to police. The fund provides compensation for workers who fall ill or are injured while doing their jobs.
