Free State Education extends registration period for pupils
Updated | By Anastasi Mokgobu
The Department of Education in the Free State has decided to extend the registration period for pupils until end of August.

Spokesperson Howard Ndaba says not all parents have had an opportunity to register their children.
“Due to unforeseeable circumstances of school term dates changing emanating from the lockdown restrictions, learner registration for the 2022 academic year has been extended until end of August.
“The second school term ended sooner as schools closed earlier than expected, affecting the learner registration process.
Not all parents had the opportunity to get learner registration forms and return them before the 31 July as previously communicated. This resulted in the Free State Department of Education offering a second chance as the strict Covid-19 restrictions are lessened enabling the department to continue with the campaign.”
The department has encouraged all parents to make use of the opportunity.
