Free state man to appear in court
A 26-year-old man arrested in connection with murder will appear in court for a bail application, Free State police said on Monday.
He would appear on Tuesday in the Wesselsbron Magistrate's Court, Captain Stephen Thakeng said.
The man was also facing a charge of possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition, said Thakeng.
He was arrested last week in Monyakeng after he allegedly stabbed his friend Mokgoje Mokhele, also 26, to death.
The two were reportedly fighting over a firearm and ammunition that were hidden in the accused's shack, said Thakeng.
