Fuel price cut expected next month
Updated | By ECR Newswatch
There could be some good news on the way for motorists.
An economist says early indications are that the fuel price could drop next month, by at least 20 cents a litre.
"It looks like there's going to be a fuel price cut, about 25 to 30 cents for petrol, probably about 20 to 25 cents for diesel and for paraffin it's also going to be around the 30 cent mark," says economist Mike Schussler.
He says one of the contributing factors is a healthier local currency.
"I think that would help a lot because people that are coming back from the coast in early January are going to be quite glad but certainly there is a bit of relief coming our way," he says.
