Fuel-strike reaches two week mark
Updated | By MornéJK
The strike in the petro-chemical industry reaches the two week mark today and members of the union, Ceppwawu are expected to protest at various petrol depots and pharmaceutical companies across SA.
The union's Simon Mofokeng says protests are planned in Gauteng, Mpumalanga, Western Cape and KZN.
"We must aggressively push for employers to listen to our demands as workers," Mofokeng said.
He added that as long as the employers are stubborn they will remain resolute to fight them.
"As long as the employers are in transitioned as they are in employing all under-hand tactics, we shall continue to fight them," he told Jacaranda FM news.
Meanwhile CEPPWAWU also approached the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration, following another round of failed wage negotiations with the employer last week.
