Kindly take note of this arrangement if you’re affected by the #TaxiStrike. All learners will be given a maximum of an hour to arrive late. You can also write your exam at any school closer to you. @educationgp @Steve_Mabona pic.twitter.com/0XIxy7xbSh
“It is unfortunate that we will experience such an inconvenience during this critical time of examination,” says Gauteng Education spokesperson Steve Mabona.
“All our chief invigilators are empowered to manage such situations including facilitation of necessary concessions. Candidates must ensure that they reach their exam centres.”

Hundreds of National Taxi Alliance (NTA) members are expected to descend on the Transport Department and the Union Buildings on Wednesday.
They will first hand over a memorandum to the Department of Transport before heading to the seat of government to hand over another memorandum to President Cyril Ramaphosa.
The taxi drivers are raising a host of grievances, including government’s failure to release the Covid-19 relief funds promised to the industry.
