Gauteng government launches new matric results app

The Department of Finance in Gauteng, together with the Department of Education has developed a matric result app.
The app will be accessible on any smartphone and device is expected to be fully functional by the time 2020 matric results are released.
MEC for Finance in Gauteng, Nomantu Nkomo-Ralehoko says the province is on a journey to digitise all its services to make it easier for citizens to access them.
"This new app that will make it easier for matriculants to access their results on their smartphones, through this app learners will save time and travelling costs to buy newspapers," says Nkomo-Ralehoko.

Nkomo-Ralehoko adds that the Department is working on ways in which pupils who do not have smartphones will also be able to access the matric results app.
