Gauteng Health to probe death of patient at Helen Joseph hospital

The 26-year-year old woman was allegedly left unattended by hospital staff until she passed away the following day.

The department did not provide any details about the death of the patient.

"The department has instituted an investigation in order to establish the circumstances around the demise of the female patient," says provincial health spokesperson Motaletale Modiba. 

"An update will be provided on the matter upon finalisation of the investigation into this matter."
