Search and rescue operations will resume this morning for a pupil from Parktown Boys High School in Johannesburg who has gone missing during the school's Grade 8 orientation camp in Brits, North West.
The boy could not be accounted for after the learners participated in a water activity in a nearby river on Wednesday.
Gauteng Member of the Executive Committee (MEC) for Education, Panyaza Lesufi, told Jacaranda FM News that the boy's parents have been informed and are currently on site.

Lesufi adds that the department, together with the school, decided to cancel the camp.
"We've also agreed with the school to immediately suspend the camp and the boys should be released this morning immediately after having breakfast."
"The site was then searched until late last night and due to darkness the search was suspended, it will resume this morning," says Lesufi.
This is a developing story.
