Gauteng police have arrested six men who are believed to be part of a kidnapping syndicate targeting business owners in the province.

The suspects were arrested on Thursday.
Police say the gang has been linked to at least 16 cases of kidnapping for ransom in Gauteng.
Police spokesperson Athlenda Mathe says officers also confiscated several items at the properties.
"At these premises, police also seized five high-performance powered vehicles including two BMWs, two Mercedes Benz sedans and one Toyota Urban Cruiser.
“Twenty cell phones and thirty portable GPS tracking devices are also among the items seized by the team.
Mathe says a businessman who was kidnapped earlier this month was rescued from one of the premises and reunited with his family.
