Police in Gauteng are investigating a case of armed robbery after a man was robbed of an undisclosed amount of cash inside a bank in Hercules in the west of Tshwane.

The armed robbery took place on Thursday morning.
This comes as contact crimes in Gauteng have increased by 0.1% during the second quarter of the year compared to the previous three months.
Provincial police commissioner Elias Mawela presented the current statistics to the provincial legislature on Thursday.
Police spokesperson Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi says the victim was approched by two unknown men, held him at gun point and threatened him.
"He was reportedly escorted outside by the suspects who then robbed him before fleeing the scene with a silver grey Polo vehicle.
"No injuries were reported and suspects are unknown at this stage."
Investigations continues.
