Gauteng records 103 Covid-19 deaths, national toll passes 8 000

Gauteng once again recorded the highest numbers of deaths due to Covid-19, the Department of Health said on Friday.
The province recorded 103 fatalities, followed by KwaZulu-Natal with 36. The Western Cape had 33 deaths, Mpumalanga 13, and the Eastern Cape eight.

"The number of recoveries currently stands at 326 171 which translates to a recovery rate of 66%."
