Gauteng traffic officer gunned down in Pretoria

A 44-year-old Gauteng traffic officer was shot and killed next to the Saulsville Hostel in Pretoria on Friday.

Clarence Tlou Kgomo was shot by an unknown assailant who is still on the run.
Khomo's service pistol is also missing.
Gauteng Traffic Police spokesperson Sello Maremane says the motive for the killing is not known at this stage.
"Losing a law enforcement official is a setback to the fight against crime. We cannot be intimidated by ruthless and heartless criminals who continue to terrorise our communities.
"We will leave no stone unturned in ensuring that the perpetrators of this murder are apprehended.”
