Gauteng vaccination campaign taken to places of worship
Updated | By Martine van der Walt Ehlers
The Gauteng provincial government scaled-up its vaccination campaign by opening vaccination sites at places of worship on Sunday.

The province has partnered with faith-based organisations to set up these sites to vaccinate members of places of worship and those in nearby communities.
"This is part of efforts to ensure that places of worship can resume hosting their services as close to the normal as possible," says spokesperson for the Gauteng Health Department Kwara Kekana.
"On Sunday, Health MEC Nomathemba Mokgethi joins several other dignitaries at Gospel Fire Ministries International in De Deur, where the vaccination of congregants and other worshippers from churches around Sedibeng will take place.
"With the threat of the 4th wave ahead the province is working with multiple stakeholders to get more people vaccinated.”
