Gautrain back on track following ‘major’ power failure
Updated | By Mmangaliso Khumalo
Gautrain services have been restored following a temporary suspension on Monday morning.
The suspension affected travel between the Midrand, Centurion and Hatfield stations.
The temporary suspension was due to a major power failure, which resulted in heavy train delays earlier in the day.
“The power has since been restored, and the train service is now operating according to schedule. We apologise to our customers travelling to and from these stations for the inconvenience they experienced this morning,” said Gautrain spokesperson Kesagee Nayager.
