Gigaba: No RET without economic growth
Updated | By Jacaranda News
Finance Minister Malusi Gigaba believes the most important task facing the African National Congress (ANC) is the achievement of inclusive growth through radical economic transformation.

Gigaba was speaking at a progressive business forum on the
sidelines of the ANC national conference in Nasrec.
Gigaba said there can be no other way forward for the country other than recognising the social grievances of the majority of South Africans.
He said economic discourse must move past the fear of laws and the desire to maintain current privileges.
Gigaba said the discourse must be courageous, creative and generous enough to build an economy that works for all South Africans and not just the few.
Gigaba added that if the economy does not grow there will be no radical social economic transformation to speak of.
Gigaba warned that reigniting economic growth will be biggest headache facing the new ANC leadership.
He, however, added that he has full confidence in whoever is elected at the party's national conference.
