Well-known media personality and owner Given Mkhari and his wife Ipeleng both made a brief appearance at the Randburg Magistrates Court on Monday.
This follows a domestic incident between the two on Saturday.
National Prosecuting Authority's (NPA) Phindi Mjonondwane says the matter was provisionally withdrawn.
"The matter was adjourned for their attorneys to take proper insturctions from their clients.
"And it is during this adjournment that information emerged that needed to be investigated. The senior public prosecutor of Randburg consulted with the office of the NDPP (National Director of Public Prosecutions) with this new information who then advised that the matter be provisionally withdrawn to allow investigation to continue," she says.
