The City of Tshwane says the installation of a pump and motor at the Bronkhorstspruit Water treatment plant experienced a minor glitch on Wednesday.

This has delayed the expected completion time.
Tshwane anticipated completing the repairs on Wednesday evening or, at the latest, Thursday morning.

This means that some areas in Bronkhorstspruit will remain without water supply.
"Completion of the equipment installation was expected late last night or, at the latest, this morning, but the motor and its still base platform couldn’t align, thus pushing back the set completion time frame," said spokesperson Selby Bokaba.
"If the installation becomes successful, requisite tests will be conducted and if the outcome
is positive, pumping will commence in earnest.
"Once pumping has commenced, which is expected to take place either later tonight or
earliest tomorrow morning, it will take a few days for the system to recover and stabilise.”
Water tankers will continue to be dispatched to the affected areas.
