Updated | By Mmangaliso Khumalo
At least one person has been injured in a collision between a train and two vehicles in Bloemfontein.

The train, which was transporting cement, collided with the two cars on Monday morning.
Free State police spokesperson Thabo Covane says an overtaking manoeuvre on the railway line landed the two cars in trouble.
“The driver of the maroon Jetta attempted to overtake the stuck Golf, but the train dragged both for some distance until they both fell on the side of the railway line.”
The two occupants of the Golf managed to jump out of the car when they spotted the oncoming train, while the driver of the other car suffered injuries during the accident and was rushed to hospital.
A case of reckless and negligent driving has been opened.
