Google Glass App Broadcasts Your Life For Cash
A new Google Glass app will allow people to live stream their lives – and even charge people a fee to watch.
Livelens has launched a version of its app for the pioneering device which can share video in real-time from the head-mounted display.
The app includes social features such as commenting on videos, as well as liking them.
Users can also monetise their live streams by charging people to watch their videos, a potential area of income for celebrities.
The battery on Google Glass is currently not powerful enough for continuous all-day streaming, but is likely to improve over time.
Livelens is a Tel Aviv-based company which already has Android and iOS apps available.
Chief executive Max Bluvband said: "We’re excited to expand into the growing sector of wearables and we believe our Google Glass application provides a fascinating experience for broadcasting your life."
Last month fashion executive Ivy Ross was hired to turn Google Glass from geek to chic ahead of a mass market launch later this year.
The beta Explorer edition costs $1,500 (£892) and comes in five different colours.
