Crews have been working overnight to bring a veld fire at Sir Lowry's pass near Gordon's Bay under control.
The city's fire and rescue spokesperson, Theo Layne, says firefighters managed to contain the fire in the Sunbird Park holiday resort area.
A fire has also spread at Red Hill in Simonstown.
However, officials say there's no damage to property at this stage.
The N2 at Sir Lowry's pass is open - while the R44 at Rooi Els is closed.
