Government employees will take to the streets of Pretoria on Friday morning to call on public servants to recommit themselves to the fight against gender-based violence.
The march, led by Department of Public Service and Administration, will take place from Church Square to the Union Buildings.
The department says the march seeks to reinforce President Cyril Ramaphosa’s call for all sectors of society to work together to stop the violence and the killing of women and children.
Marchers are expected to gather from 08:30 at Church Square.
The routes affected are as follows:
Paul Kruger Street
Madiba Street
Lilian Ngoyi Street
Sisulu Street
Nelson Mandela Drive
Steve Biko Street
Hamilton Street
Tshwane metro police will be deployed to monitor the march.
