Government pensions official suspended: Report

Government Employees Pension Fund (GEPF) principal executive officer John Oliphant has been suspended, Business Day newspaper reported on Friday.

The GEPF Board chairman Arthur Moloto said Oliphant was suspended on Thursday "pending the finalisation of a disciplinary process relating to the outcome of a forensic investigation into supply chain management practices at the fund".
The fund has 1.2 million active members and assets worth R1 trillion.
