Government waiting for report after Zuma protest
Updated | By MornéJK
The municipal election might be over, but the political fall-out continues with Government that is awaiting a full report following Saturday's silent protest against President Jacob Zuma.
This comes after four women staged a silent protest while the president was addressing the nation at the IEC national results operations center in Pretoria West on Saturday.
Four young women succeeded in walking till right up to the stage when the president took to the podium.
Their protest referred to the charge of rape against president Zuma back in 2005, for which he was acquitted in 2007.
Minister of State Security David Mahlobo, says they are also puzzled.
"We are waiting for a report on how the security breaches happened while our security forces were there, including the security arrangement by the IEC," Mahlobo said.
He added that the ministers of State Security and the police should also explain how the breach happened, allowing the women access to the venue.
