Govt ramps up water delivery to KZN
Updated | By Anastasi Mokgobu
The Department of Water and Sanitation has ramped up the distribution of water and hygienic products to communities in KwaZulu-Natal.

This forms part of measures implemented by the government to prevent the spread of coronavirus in the province.
The department has provided over 4 00 water tanks, 532 water trucks and 7500 hygienic products to communities in the province.
KwaZuku-Natal has the fourth most confirmed coronavirus cases with 1927 infections and the second most deaths at 49.
Water and Sanitation Minister Lindiwe Sisulu has appealed to residents not to vandalise the infrastructure.
"We have worked around the clock to ensure everyone has water and strides of providing water to many distressed areas have been made.
“We however call on the communities to take care of the tanks, and report criminal activities done against these water tanks, whether is theft or destruction of the tanks.”
