Graceland principal removed, transport contract terminated
Gauteng Education MEC Panyaza Lesufi has removed the principal of Graceland Education Centre in Germiston.
Patricia Peters has been removed following the death of Laticia Jansen.
Her body was discovered in Elsberg on the East Rand last week after she had been left behind by scholar transport.
The 15-year-old was raped, killed and set alight.

Peters has been ordered to report to the district office until the probe into the circumstances of Jansen’s death is completed.
Teachers at Graceland Education Centre only become aware that Jansen was absent from school three days after he disappearance.
Lesufi has also terminated the contract with the scholar transport service provider.
