Grahamstown prison escapee hit by a truck

One of the seven prisoners who escaped from the Grahamstown Correctional Facility in Makhanda has been hit by a truck.
Department of Correctional Services spokesperson Singabakho Nxumalo says the convict is in hospital under police guard.

"He is currently in hospital under police guard and once he is stabilised he will be transferred to the Eastern Cape where he will have to be taken through the criminal justice system, as it is an offence to escape from custody."
Meanwhile, the search continues for the other six escapees who have been found guilty of rhino poaching.
They are Nhamo Muyambo, Francis Chitho, Trymore Chauke, Lubuyo September, Abraham Moyane and Simba Masinge.
