Updated | By Martine van der Walt Ehlers
Police have discovered two human legs floating in Nandoni
Dam in Limpopo.
The remains are believed to be those of a man who was reported missing a week ago.
According to provincial police spokesperson, Moatshe Ngoepe, the gruesome discovery was made during an operation by the police's search-and-rescue unit.
"Uvhona Sikhwari from Hamagidi village has been missing since Saturday, December 9,” says Ngoepe.
"Immediately after his disappearance, he was searched for in the surrounding areas until his motor vehicle was found abandoned next to Nandoni Dam.
"His belongings were still in the car and the keys were in the ignition.
It has not yet been determined whether the two legs that have been retrieved are those of the missing man.
"The ongoing police investigations, including a forensic investigation, will confirm the identity of the victim,” says Ngoepe.
