Minister in the Presidency Mondli Gungubele says government has several
projects lined up as it looks to stabilise the country’s sluggish economy.

Gungubele discussed the latest progress reports by the Department of Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation on Thursday morning.
The department’s bi-annual performance report monitors the performance of government against its priorities over the medium term.
The reports expressed concern over the continued increase in unemployment, poverty as well as a lack of police visibility in some communities.
Gungubele admitted that government has failed to meet its service delivery targets
“As this term end in 2024, Our focus as government is to adapt and deliver better service so that we can change the rate of performance so that by 2024 we have improved the gap.
“There’s no dispute anymore that we are behind on the DPME goals, but we remain with an attitude of improving on the work that needs to be done.
“The national commission is currently working on analyzing and revising our NDP goals so that the government commit to service delivery that is attainable before the term ends.”
