Hail, thunderstorms expected over Gauteng
The South African Weather Service on Thursday warned of severe thunderstorms and hail over the western parts of Gauteng.
Weather forecaster Victoria Nurse said there was a 60 percent chance of showers and thundershowers over Gauteng on Thursday afternoon, heading into the evening.
"With severe thunder storms there could be hail, especially large amounts of small hail and hail that could reach 'chicken egg' size," she said
Nurse said it was too early to be more specific over which areas could be affected.
