Hammer falls on Tshwane mayoral mansion
Updated | By Jacaranda FM News
The City of Tshwane has set its sights on building over 50
RDP homes.

It comes after the Tshwane mayoral mansion was sold on auction on Thursday.
The mansion was sold for R5.1 million.
Tshwane mayor Solly Msimanga's spokesperson Samkelo Mgobozi says this money can build 52 RDP houses.
Msimanga was intent on selling the property when he came into office, saying the money could be better used to serve the people.
The double-storey house in Muckleneuk has four bedrooms, a double garage and a third garage with a storage room. Two of the bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms.
It also has a patio, balconies, an entertainment area, two workers’ quarters and a swimming pool.
The former ANC administration spent R12m making renovations to the mansion.
However, property evaluators valuated the house at R5 million.
