Hasty Kruger National Park visitors crash into pillar

South African National Parks (SANParks) has confirmed that four holidaymakers were injured after their vehicle crashed in the Kruger National Park on Thursday.
The four people were injured after their vehicle crashed into a pillar – allegedly speeding to exit the park before closing time.
“It is a time where people try to get out of the park. They were speeding towards the gate and there was sand on the road,” says spokesperson, Isaac Phaahla.
Phaahla says a probe is underway to determine whether the driver was under the influence of alcohol.
He says the park’s doctor was flown to the scene where he assessed the injured.
They were then transported to a local hospital.
Four individuals have been injured near Paul Kruger Gate in the Kruger National Park. The doctor is at the scene and assessing the injured.
