The Hawks arrested nine suspects after swooping on a drug laboratory in Boltonia, Krugersdorp West.
The suspects were arrested on Monday afternoon.
Hawks spokesperson Katlego Mogale said the lab was manufacturing a large amount of drugs.
"The members of the Serious Organised Crime Investigation team descended upon the dilapidated factory where they found an assortment of methamphetamine producing chemicals in large quantities.
"During the search of the premises, nine suspects, including two females, were apprehended."
The suspects will make their first appearance in the Krugersdorp Magistrate's Court on Wednesday, facing charges of the manufacturing of illicit drugs.
"The provincial head of the Hawks in Gauteng, Major General Ebrahim Kadwa, lauded the sterling work by the team and encouraged them to aim for the kingpins. The investigation continues," Mogale said.
