Gauteng Hawks have discovered drugs worth R600 000 at a house in Wierdapark in Centurion.

The police received a tip-off about a suspect that will be dropping off drugs at the said house on Friday.
The suspect, who noticed the police at the gate, managed to flee from the house on foot.
"Upon arrival at the positively identified premises on Montague Street, authorities noticed a suspect out of a car entering the premises and closed the gate before the authorities could get to him,” said Hawks spokesperson Philani Nkwalase.
“When the police requested to enter the premises, he went inside pretending to inform the property owner and never came back."
"Authorities jumped into the said premises and upon searching, they found mandrax, heroin, and methaqualone.”
The drugs and the suspect’s vehicle were seized for further investigation.
