Hawks to investigate ANC ward candidate murder
Updated | By ECR Newswatch
The Hawks in KwaZulu-Natal have taken over the investigation into the murder of an ANC ward candidate.

Thirty-five-year-old Thembi Mbongo was shot and killed in front of her husband and children at their Osizweni home in northern KZN on Saturday.
The ANC in KZN says 11 party members have been killed in the last two months alone.
Hawks spokesperson, Simphiwe Mhlongo says a case of murder and attempted murder has been opened.
"We urge the party concerned to work together with the members of the Hawks in order to catch the perpetrator.
"It's very hard to [solve] these cases because someone, somewhere knows what exactly happened. Political killings are well-planned at some point so we need the community's cooperation," he said.
