The Hawks confirmed that they have joined an investigation into the spate of violent protests that broke out in the Tshwane area earlier this week.
Hawks spokesperson, Hangwani Mulaudzi confirmed that a task team has been set-up to investigate who are behind the violent protests.

"We will be joining the investigating on the instigation part of the protests," Mulaudzi told Jacaranda FM News.
He added that members of the Hawks are assisting their SAPS counterparts to establish exactly who are instigating the protests.

While no arrests have been made Mulaudzi said that they are confident that they will make a break through sooner or later.
"We are on the right track and our team consist of seasoned investigators that is sure to make a break through sooner or later," Mulaudzi concluded.
